Senior Software QA Engineer

Build QA from scratch. Automate it. Use AI. And test software that actually moves things.

At Axioma Metering, software is not just buttons, forms and APIs.

Our software configures smart meters, controls manufacturing processes, communicates with physical devices and moves robots on production lines. When software does something wrong, sometimes a real machine does something wrong too.

That makes QA rather interesting. And right now, we have an opportunity for someone to build it properly.

The challenge

We're looking for a Software QA Engineer who will be both a hands-on tester and the person who helps us build a modern QA practice across our software teams.

What you’ll actually do?

• Test our software hands-on - exploratory, functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing.

• Design test scenarios, test cases and realistic test datasets.

• Build and maintain automated tests where automation makes sense.

• Actively explore and introduce AI-assisted QA - generating test scenarios, finding edge cases, preparing test data, accelerating automation and improving test coverage.

• Help developers make software more testable, not just test it after development is finished.

• Coach and challenge development teams on software quality.

• Define what should be tested at unit, integration, API, UI, system and end-to-end level.

• Introduce practical QA processes into development and release workflows.

• Gradually build the overall Software QA practice at Axioma Metering without creating bureaucracy for its own sake.

In short: do QA today and design how we should do QA tomorrow.

Who we’re looking for?

• We care less about your current job title and more about how you think. Experience in a similar leadership and QA automation role is an advantage - not a requirement.

• You might also be a strong Manual Tester who is tired of doing the same regression tests manually and wants to level up into automation, AI-assisted testing and QA leadership.

• QA specialists who see AI as a tool to multiply your capabilities, not as a threat.

• Languages: English - professional level mandatory; Lithuanian - advantage.

Salary

From 4000 to 4800 €/month gross

Salary depends on your competencies and is negotiable.
